Bio for Pamela Gimenez Pamela Gimenez is an MTV producer working in News & Docs. Her career started when she studied the art of storytelling, writing, and acting and received her B.A in Theater Arts. She pursued an acting career and decided to get her M.F.A in Television Production when working 3 days as an extra on a Spike Lee film. She remembers those long days of theatre production and working as a team to create magic for audiences to experience. Her first professional job was assisting the creative director at Lifetime Television, but she wanted more. She decided to get into the real deal of television production - that's where her journey at MTV began. After 4 years, she, along with a fellow producer, decided to open up a bilingual/bicultural production company. Although the company is in its preliminary stage, the two young women want to produce content for both markets and hope to break the Latino stereotype. The dream is to give back to other young women and create compelling content for all media. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY from immigrant parents, this is where her ambition surfaces from: "I want to let my parents know that their sacrifice and coming to this country was not wasted." |
