“Art for Natalie”
Written by Joanna, a proud mother
How “Art for Natalie” was born...
A few months ago I was running errands with my daughter.  As usual, we were discussing things that were occurring at school and work and I began telling
her about a fundraiser I had attended that benefited the Children’s Shelter. I explained what it consisted of and why people choose to create and participate in events like this. Unbeknownst to me the conversation seemed to have touched her more than I thought. The following week she began
discussing fundraisers with her friends and decided that they would like to host one for their close friend Natalie who passed away from cancer.
Before we knew it, “Art for Natalie” was born. My little girl and her friends decided that they would like to host an art show.  They raised money by painting and selling panels.  All of the money was donated to the Cancer Society in remembrance of their close friend Natalie. The event was hosted at AnArte Gallery. A local ad agency generously created and donated a custom logo design for the fundraiser.
All six young girls planned on painting and selling twenty panels for $100 each in order to give money to a charity that fights the battle that their close friend lost.  The efforts were successful and they hope to continue the “Art for Valerie” fundraiser again next year.  We hope you join us in supporting this cause.  The amount of love and efforts-including yours-PRICELESS!
