Cyndy Mendez ChicaGirl/UIW Scholarship Recepient I’d like to thank ChicaGirl Magazine for awarding me my scholarship. It came in a time of great need. As a Graphic/Web Design major, the majority of my focus is on my studies and I don’t have the pleasure of having a part time job. The monies awarded to me went to help with my tuition cost and supplies for school. In addition, my internship with ChicaGirl Magazine has opened many doors for me. Not only am I able to be creative with the magazine but I’ve been able to met a great deal of people based on recommendations; and have been able to work in the field in a different atmosphere. I am so blessed to be part of such a wonderful team of inspirational men and women. In the future I plan to remain a part of the ChicaGirl Team and continue to help inspire young Latinas. |
