Toni Lee JimenezToni Lee Jimenez…is the Future generation of Latina entrepreneurs.
As the 28 year old founder of Chica Girl, the first digital magazine for Latina teenagers, she is dedicated to promoting higher education and empowering our youth through every issue. She has chosen a magazine as a medium to reach Latina girls in a positive way--through fashion and entertainment articles, but more importantly, through motivational and inspirational stories.

Toni Lee Jimenez was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She was destined to become a successful, young Latina entrepreneur. When she put her mind to something, she did it!

As a young Latina, Toni was always involved in academics, athletics and student government.  She was a well-rounded student, excelling in sports while maintaining balance with her family life. Education had always been a priority for Toni and she strived to do her best.  She attended the prestigious all-girls prep school in San Antonio, Incarnate Word High School.  As an honor student, Toni excelled in academics, graduating in 1999. As a star athlete and team captain she led her softball team to the State Championship.  She continued to shine as a business student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA.  Awarded the MAAA (Mexican American Alumni Association) scholarship, she remained focused on her education while continuing her love for sports. As the only freshman to walk on to the Division I softball team—and the only Hispanic—she was also an inspiration to young Latinas.

Toni graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2003, with a BA in Management/Entrepreneurship. She immediately immersed herself in a series of challenges: working for a top Republican Party fundraiser; fundraising specifically for Proposition 49 with Arnold Schwarzenegger; then working directly for the Finance Director at Schwarzenegger’s campaign headquarters during the historic Recall election of Gray Davis. The victory of Governor-elect Schwarzenegger opened the door for the opportunity to work in Sacramento as an appointee in the Governor’s Office of Constituent Affairs.

After four months in the Governor’s Office, because of her aptitude and vitality, Toni was offered the opportunity to work with the Waste Management Board.   In July, 2004 she was appointed a position as the Executive Assistant to the Chair of the Integrated Waste Management Board, Rosario Marin, former Treasurer of the United States.

She has proven on many occasions the strength of her convictions: to attain what others dream; to accomplish what others have not. Toni’s vision -- and her commitment to that vision -- will inspire and empower young Latinas to follow their dreams.  She has dedicated her magazine Chica Girl to this vision.  Her goal and mission is to redefine what beauty is and ONLY feature their everyday readers on every cover! This will promote a positive body image enabling the magazine to enhance girl’s self esteem. The goal of establishing an innovative young woman’s magazine will ensure her success as a Latina entrepreneur.

Toni Lee Jimenez exemplifies business practices and principles that should not go unnoticed.  She encourages everyone to join her in this vision.  Journey with her and become part of Chica Girl magazine—“Inspiring Girls One Page At A Time!” visit WWW.CHICAGIRLMAGAZINE.COM.
