(SAN ANTONIO, TX- October 29, 2007) CHICA GIRL/UIW SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT
Chica Girl Enterprises, LLC is proud and honored to announce the CHICA GIRL/UIW SCHOLARSHIP fund.
Chica Girl Magazine is dedicated to higher education and we believe that together with
The University of the Incarnate Word, located in San Antonio Texas and founded by the Sisters of Charity
of the Incarnate Word, we can make a difference for our youth.
We will be awarding a total of $20,850 in scholarship money to five ChicaGirl recipients. Applications are
available at WWW.CHICAGIRLMAGAZINE.COM. See page 62 of the magazine.
Dedicating our magazine to higher education we also feature high school and college counselors who are
available through our website for questions and answers. The magazine will allow counselors to
communicate directly with girls around the world regarding scholarships, grants, and tips for attending
universities. It is a saddening statistic that Hispanics have the lowest percentage of students that continue
onto higher education. At CHICA GIRL Magazine, we hope to increase the number of Latinas applying for
and attending universities. We plan to do this by further promoting higher education to our ChicaGirl
readers through the scholarships we offer such as The CHICA GIRL/UIW SCHOLARSHIPS.
Deadline: The application must be received by Chica Girl Enterprises, LLC (Chica Girl Magazine) by
NOVEMBER 30, 2007, 11:59 p.m.
We will announce winners by December 8, 2007.
